Public Works Branch
The Tulare County Public Works Branch manages and maintains critical infrastructure across 4,823.9 square miles of land. Our responsibilities include roads, bridges, airports, sewers, and water facilities in unincorporated communities throughout the region.
The branch supports more than 40 communities and collaborates closely with all eight incorporated cities to ensure consistent, reliable infrastructure and regional connectivity. The Public Works Branch includes the following divisions: Roads, Engineering, County Surveyor, and Flood Control. Together, these divisions oversee the planning, construction, and upkeep of nearly 3,000 miles of county-maintained roads and related infrastructure.
