On December 3, 2024, the Board of Supervisors of Tulare County directed the Tax Collector to conduct an internet auction to sell tax-defaulted properties. The parcels recorded on the Delinquent Parcel List are subject to the tax collector’s power of sale pursuant to California Revenue and Taxation Code, §3691, and have been approved for sale by Resolution 2024-1085. If a parcel does not sell, it will be re-offered on June 3, 2025. The property owner’s right of redemption will cease on Monday, June 2, 2025, at 5:00 P.M., and properties not redeemed by that time will be offered for sale. If a parcel is not sold at the auction, the property owner’s right of redemption will be revived up to the date of the next scheduled auction. If properties are sold for an amount exceeding the minimum bid, parties of interest, defined by the Revenue and Taxation Code, §4675, will be notified of their right to claim excess proceeds. |
